Homemade Whipped Cream

makes about 2 cups


  • 1 cup cold heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 to 4 teaspoons granulated sugar, to taste


  • Combine the heavy cream, sour cream, and sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer. Beat on high speed until the cream forms soft peaks, 2 to 3 minutes. (Do not over-beat.)
